BMA approached Studio One asking for a website to accompany their inflight magazine.
Much of the information architecture work was dictated by the structure of the magazine, so I took their top-level items and used them to form the main navigation, while the most commonly used items were listed directly on the home page.
I chose to include a version of the magazine cover without the overlaid headlines and content lists to make it easier to maintain without worrying about overlay colours clashing or disappearing over the cover image. I also mimicked some of the graphic conventions used within the magazine as components in the front cover layout.
